Women called to ministry: a study guide from the united methodist church

The Women Called to Ministry Study Guide was published in 2007, a year after the 50th Anniversary of the ordination of women in the United Methodist Church in the USA.

Women in ministry... the untold story

This package of stories and papers was prepared prior to the July 2000 National Synod of the Lutheran Church of Australia. The process of discussion had already been a long one and still continues. For some it has been confusing. Some people have found it hard to listen to people who think differently. For some people it has been exciting as agreement is found, or as they have gained new insights about God and God’s church.

Church fathers, women and ordination

In the last chapter of Romans we read greetings extended to quite a number of early Christians, among them nine women: Phoebe, Priscilla, Mary, Junia, Tryhana, Tryphora, Julia, and the mother of Rufus and sister of Nereus. Pastor Ray Schulz made the case for Junia being a woman apostle.
